You would have to ask yourself...who are the children?
Twenty four or so well-toned (ha!) parents took to the paddock on Saturday for our inaugural JAB “Just About Buggered” Let it Rip game.

Teams were decided, jersey's were donned the stretching and lengthening of the velcro commenced.   There were a few moans and groans as the warm-up exercises were demonstrated and rapidly the novelty seemed to wear off.

Tony Fielding was asked to lower his socks through fear of asphyxiation.

Motivation and enthusiasm returned as the hostess with the mostest, served pre game energy drinks, they certainly put a bit of heat into the day.

After a wee warm up our ref Paddy blew the whistle and we were away. He didn't take any nonsense and dealt with several indiscretions early in.

Shortly into it Phill Danielson collided with Irish, shame they were on the same team and going for the ball and after a short period of stoppage and to be frank a barrage of the verbals to harden up the  game resumed. “Does it hurt Irish?” “Only when I push on it” “Well best you don't push on it then!”

Hobbzy's desire to impress resulted in Schmackies shirt looking like it had had an argument with a shredder. Meanwhile Maurice took out the slight but nimble Lee Woodhouse with a fend that would have put anyone down (Much whistle blowing and apologies followed)

Apologies aside, Lee got his own back in the next move, seeing Maurice checking out the grass grub! I thought Paddy might have gone for the red card.

Annie put her body on the line and was seen to be tackling mode on several occasions.  Time to move up a grade next season perhaps?

Players of the Day:  Karina MacKenzie for Green, Vikki Clement for White and Annie Wotton for Rippa.

Celtic White won 4 tries to 3:
Aaron Schmack, Richard Pithey, Catherine Schluter, Charlotte Cox, Phill Danielson and sorry can't remember!
