The Darryl Phillips Motor Company seniors traveled to Rangiora to face Saracens. They had a 17/5 win. Jason Morrison had another strong game at fullback and scored 2 tries. With the forward pack playing out of their skins it gave the backs quality ball to work with. Player of the day went to Lawrence McCormick who had a strong game on both attack and defence.

This Monday they play Hampstead for the Travis Durham Memorial Trophy for the 1st time so get out there and support them.

The Wide Span Sheds Killer B's played Hampstead at their grounds, and came away with a 12/5 loss. The game was played in wet, muddy conditions so the boys kept it tight in the forwards and came away with a pushover try to Bryce Mitchell after spending 15 minutes on Hampstead's line. Big games came from Neville Prendergast and Danny Champion in the backs. Player of the day went to Shannon, out on the wing this weekend. The team has improved this year and numbers are getting better every practice with a good team spirit being built.

The Colts also had Saracens but came away with a 20/12 loss. Ryan Jamesion playing on the wing got player of the day. Matt Millar and Sam Hurley got the tries and Nick Wilson got the sole conversion. They play Lincoln on Friday night at Celtic.

It was good to see the number of kids that turned out for the JAB grades. Thanks have to go to Paddy Strange for the quality of coaches and amount of players they have.
