Welcome to Ashburton Celtic Rugby Club, located at Keenans Rd, Ashburton, Mid Canterbury, New Zealand.

Founded in 1921 we have cultivated a rich tradition of excellence that goes beyond the try line. We offer modern clubrooms, new dedicated changing facilities, quality fields the envy of many, training lights, sitting along side The Murney Stand providing cover and prime viewing for spectators. 2024 will see the addition of a new purpose built playground.

Ashburton Celtic stands to our commitment to on-field success, with our senior men completing an almost perfect 2023 season (one loss) winning the Luisetti Seeds Country Combined Cup and creating history with the double, taking out the Watters Cup. This was complimented with our Senior B's dominating the second grade from start until finish.

Train and play with our formidable Senior and Senior B men, spirited Senior Women, teenage grades and thriving Junior JAB. Supporters of the Green Machine are always made welcome, we pride ourselves on being a multicultural club that embraces individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

Our affiliation to Marist Rugby is strong with selected club members gaining positions on the NZ Marist Colts team each year.

In addition we have Ashburton Celtic Squash adjacent, affiliation to Celtic Netball and touch during the summer months to retain fitness and have fun.
